Oestreich, Milton (15 JUL 1904 - APR 1941)

 

 

Milton Oestreich, 36 of Loyal township, Clark County died in the Marshfield hospital on Friday from injuries suffered when he was struck by a slab of wood while shapening fence posts at his farm on last Thursday.  Oestreich, who was a single man, operated a farm between Spencer and Loyal, with his brother, Everett.  They were sharpening fence posts with the saw when a 3 inch slab from the post, becoming caught in the blade and struck him in the jaw.  He was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive the shock and the shattering of his lower jaw.

 

Mr. Oestreich was born in the town of Unity on July 15, 1904, and spent his entire life in Unity and Loyal.  He leaves eight brothers and a sister:  Everett of Loyal; Albert, Bernard, Oscar, Ralph and Christian, Unity; Glen of Elgin, Ill.; Kenneth of Waterloo, Wis., and Mrs. Edward Ploman of Freemont township.
