Mr. E.G. Rowe and family spent New Year’s Day with Mrs. E. Mortimer.

 

George Turner made a trip to Granton Tuesday after feed.

 

Mr. R. Zickert, Hank Grosnick, Ella Hales, Mrs. Abie Turner and Mrs. E.M. Schoenfeld were Neillsville callers Tuesday.

 

Bessie Turner spent Monday at the John Davis home.

 

Mrs. Will Benedict won the piano that was given away at Amidon’s Drug Store, Dec. 30th.

 

Mrs. John Vandeberg came home from the Marshfield hospital Sunday.

 

Mrs. Mortimer, Mrs. S.A. Lindsley and mrs. Abie Turner went to W.J. Davis’ Wednesday to sew for the family that lost everything when the house on the C.H. Ide farm, where they were living, burned last week.

Mrs. E. Mortimer and son George were at Granton Saturday and brought home some new furniture.

 

John Vandeberg made a trip to Lynn Saturday afternoon.

 

The farmers are banking their money now days with A.P. Fulwiler.  S.W. Benedict got tax receipt No. 1 this year.

 

Dr. Ross was called to see Mrs. J. Andeberg Thursday and Saturday.

 

Mrs. E.G. Rowe, Mrs. A.P. Fulwiler and daughter Violet and Mrs. Ida Pease called on Mrs. Forest Rowe Saturday afternoon.

 

Mrs. S.A. Lindsley is enjoying the law that passed Sept. 8, 1916, allowing widows past 70 years of age $20 per month.  Her last check from Uncle Sam was $60.

 

Alve Turner and wife were Granton callers Saturday.

 

Forest Rowe sawed wood Friday for his brother Jesse.

 

Melvin Lawrence moved onto his new place at Marshfield Thursday.

 

Mrs. E.M. Schoenfeld made a flying trip to Loyal Saturday.

 

Jesse Mortimer made a trip to Granton Saturday.

 

Horace Vandeberg went to Marshfield Monday to consult a doctor.

 

Mrs. Ed Soles called on Mrs. John Vandeberg Monday.

 

Harry Hewett of Neillsville was a business caller here Monday.

 

Mrs. Emma Root, Mrs. Ida Root and Mrs. E. Mortimer called on Mrs. Vandeberg Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Abe Vandeberg, John Vandeberg, George Phipps, Fay Livingston, Harmie Huntley, Mrs. Ted O’Brien, and Mr. and Mrs. Abie Turner were business callers at Neillsville Wednesday.

 

Forest Rowe sawed wood Tuesday for E.M. Schoenfeld.
