Porath, Jean (? - 1 October 1965)

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero of Granton; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Betty Lou) Ayola of Chicago, Ill.; and a brother, Neal Fero, of Milwaukee.

 

Pallbearers were: Wilbert Wischuelke, Louis Riedel, Victor, Norman, and Edwin Porath, and Oscar Sternitzky.

 

Misses Connie and Colleen Montgomery sang for the service.  They were accompanied by Mrs. Lee Garbisch.

 

The Gilbertson Funeral Home of Granton was in charge of arrangements.

People from away attending the funeral of Miss Jean Porath, 40, October 5 were: Mr. and Mrs. Neal Fero of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ayola and family of Chicago, Ill.; Miss Mary Jane Sutton of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Alfred Porath, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Porath and Norman Porath, all of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Porath and Mrs. Eva Porath of la Crosse; Mrs. Gerald McCutchen of Galesville; Mrs. Margaret May and Mrs. Bertha Moen of Neillsville; Mrs. R. H. Wink, Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Schier and Mrs. Fred Beseler of Marshfield; and Mrs. Iva Sutton of Merrillan.

 

Pallbearers were: Wilbert Wischuelke, Louis Riedel, Victor, Norman and Edwin Porath and Oscar Sternitzky.

 

Misses Connie and Gayle Montgomery, accompanied by Mrs. Lee Garbisch sang, "Abide with Me" and "The Lord is My Shepherd." 

 

Miss Porath died October 1; in Minneapolis, Minn.  Funeral services were held from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton, with the Rev. F. C. Benecke as officiating minister.  Burial was made in the church cemetery.
