Syverson, Martha (7 December 1879 - 16 October 1965)

Mrs. Martha Syverson, 86, died October 16, in Neillsville, where she had been a hospital patient for about a month.  Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Assembly of God Church in Alma Center, with the Rev. Gordon Johnson officiating.  Burial was made in East Lawn Cemetery, Alma Center.

Mrs. Syverson was born in Crawford County on December 7, 1879. She lived in Fairchild a number of years and recently made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Earl Hawley, in Merrillan.

She is survived by: four daughters, Mrs. Earl Hawley, Merrillan, Mrs. James Sprinkle of Fairchild, Mrs. William Cox of Boyd, and Mrs. Max Ritter of Stanley; two sons, Michael of Stanley and William of Merrillan; a brother, Lincoln Heisz of Eastman; a sister, Mrs. Anna Waldron of Footville; 26 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The Jenson Funeral Home in Hixton was in charge of arrangements.
