Prust, John (15 May 1889 - 27 October 1965)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from Christ Lutheran Church in Chili for John Prust, 76, of Rt. 1 Chili, who died October 27, at his home. The Rev. F. C. Benecke of Granton officiated. Burial was made in Yolo Cemetery, Town of Fremont.

 

John Prust was born Mary 15, 1889, in the Town of Fremont and lived in that area most of his life.  He was married November 8, 1921, to the former Louise Beilke in the Zion American Lutheran Church, Town of Grant.  They farmed for 31 years in the Town of Fremont.  Following their retirement they resided on Rt. 1 Chili.

 

He was a veteran of World War I.

 

Mr. Prust is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Viola) Ottow of Kaukauna, Mrs. Emil (Edna) Masephol of Chili, and Mrs. Dorothy Beil of Marshfield; two sons, Robert of Spencer and Harold of Plymouth; and by 21 grandchildren.  Other survivors are: three brothers, Adolph of North Dakota, William of Marshfield, and Charles of Granton; and by two sisters Mrs. Bertha Guk of Marshfield and Mrs. Joseph Sternitzky of Granton.

 

Pallbearers were: Robert Rollins, Joe Arbelovsky, Sr., Ralph Struck, Arnold Eppers, Rudolph Kernz and Alvin Voelker.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton.
