Persons from this area will be interested in the account of a wedding involving local people which appeared in the Edgerton newspaper.

 

White gladioli and red roses decorated the altar of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Edgerton, Saturday for the wedding of Donna Marie Johnson and Clyde J. Hoeser. The Rev. George Thommes read the high Mass.

 

The bride chose a nylon chiffon floor-length gown styled with fitted bodice and chapel train. The neckline was accented with alencon lace appliqués. Her illusion veil was caught up by a sequins and pearl cap. She carried a bouquet of orchids, lilies of the valley and pink roses.

 

Miss Jackie Kennedy, Milton Junction served as maid of honor. She wore a pink chiffon and taffeta frock. The Misses Roberta Johnson, sister of the bride, Shirley Boyles, and Mary Kay Quigley, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids in nile green dresses. Flower girl was Sherry Krause. Billy Johnson was ring bearer.

 

Richard Schellinger, Milwaukee, was best man. Groomsmen were Harry Schmidt, Milwaukee, Allen and Jerome Hoeser, brothers of the bridegroom. Larry Johnson and Frank McCulloch ushered.

 

Henry Ebbett sang "On This Day O Beautiful Mother" and "Ave Maria," Organist was Mrs. Roy Livick.

 

Wedding festivities included a breakfast for 30 at Tibbies and a reception for 350 at Masonic Temple.

 

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carmen Johnson, Edgerton, is a 1956 graduate of Milton Union High School.

 

She is employed by Parker Pen Co., Janesville. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hoeser, Loyal, is a 1951 graduate of Loyal High School. He is employed by Fisher Body, Janesville.

 

After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and New York state, the couple will be at home at Mallwood Estates, Rte 3, Edgerton.
