Foemmel’s Corners (17 November 1911)

 

Will Foemmel, had a lathing bee Friday evening.

 

Arthur Lammers bought 3 cows of W. Foemmel.

 

Truman Davis hauled a load of wood to I. W. Morris in Granton, Monday.

 

Sunday we had a regular blizzard.  It snowed a little and blew it every way.

 

Harry Rose went through here Monday canvassing for silverware and took dinner at Truman Davis’.

 

Murl Sweet finished work for Truman Davis and went home Monday.

 

Henry Vander Weiss who is at work for Al Nonhof visited his parents near Chili between trains Sunday.

 

Mrs. Ketel bought 40 acres of land of Frank Davis near Heathville.

 

On account of bad weather Lautenbach didn’t finish threshing until this week.

 

Paul Ketel intends building a shanty on their new place and cut wood this winter.

 

Mrs. Louis Hayden returned last week Thursday from a business t rip to Deer River, Minn.

 

Mrs. Lee came up from Merrillan last Saturday and spent several days here with her daughter Mrs. Louie Hayden.

 

Will Foemmel expects to plaster his kitchen this week and as he has his house nearly all painted white it adds much to its good looks. 

 

Geo Campbell has sold his farm to a man from Sheboygan.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earle Davis moved to Loyal this week.
