Mr. and Mrs. Ed Davis returned to their home at Lake Mills Friday after a visit with relatives and friends here.

 

Mr. and Mrs. George Huntley and R. E. Lawrence and family spent Sunday with Harmon Huntley and wife.

 

Dan Timerson sawed wood for Norman Shafer Monday.

 

A number of old friends and neighbors attended the funeral of Mrs. Flint at Granton Friday.

 

Forest Rowe and best girl spent Sunday at Granton.

 

Grant Turner is helping Joseph Rondorf with the chores while Archie Dow is away hunting.

 

Jay Davis and Ed Voigt left Monday for the hunting grounds.

 

Chas Campbell, A. W. Hales, Geo. Hales, Geo. Root and Ernest Grabe entertained thrashers the past week.

 

A number of young folks from this vicinity attended the Heintown dance Friday night.

 

There was a surprise party given Kenneth Grabe Saturday evening in honor of his fifteenth birthday.  All present report a fine time.

 

While sawing wood Saturday Jesse Mortimer had the misfortune to get the mitten caught in the saw, cutting off the middle finger of his left hand and cutting the one next to it quite badly.  He is under the doctor’s care.

 

Frank Greeler and John Vande Berg put storm windows on the school house in District No. 2, Saturday.

 

Will O’Brien purchase a new 4 horse power engine and feed cutter of the Luethe Co. one day last week.

 

John Dahl came home from Neillsville the latter part of last week with a brand new engine.
