Dietsche, Ronald L. (10 JUL 1946 – 16 OCT 2012)

Ronald L. Dietsche, age 66, of Spencer passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Ministry St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield, with his family by his side; after a courageous seven year battle with kidney cancer. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church ELCA in Spencer. Rev Rebekah Tarras will officiate. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer. Visitation will also be held again on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service.

Ronald was born July 10, 1946 in Wood County, the son of Buster and Eileen (Fisher) Dietsche. He graduated from Spencer High School. Ronald proudly served his country as a member of the US Army from 1966 to 1969. On October 10, 1970 he was united in marriage to Nancy Mellenthin in Spencer.

Mr. Dietsche was a long time member of St John's Lutheran Church ELCA in Spencer. He was also a member of American Legion Post 54 in Marshfield. He cherished time spent with his family, especially his girls and his grandchildren. Ronald loved to spend time at the cottage on Pier Lake. Those that knew him best will miss his warm spirit and his ability to fix just about anything.

Ronald is lovingly survived by his mother, Eileen; wife, Nancy Dietsche of Spencer; children, Tammi (Michael) Schiferl of Marshfield, and Jodi (Paul) Leezer of Spencer. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Brandon Schiferl, Gracie Leezer, Matthew Leezer; siblings, Jan Dietsche, Bill (Rita) Dietsche, and Lorraine (Jerry) Klungseth; as well as, many other family and friends. He will truly be missed!

His father, Buster, preceded Ronald in death.
