Carlisle, Susan E. (5 JAN 1956 - 28 OCT 2012)

Susan E. Carlisle, 56 of Granton died peacefully on Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield from 6pm until time of memorial service at 7pm.

Susan was born in Minneapolis on January 5, 1956 to Leslie and Phyllis (Christopherson) Melquist. She received an Associate Degree in Nursing and was employed in Spooner for a short period of time before moving to Granton. She was a registered nurse at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital for many years. She retired as a case manager with Security Health of Marshfield. She enjoyed her animals at home including, horses, mules, cats and her dog "Ted".

She is survived by her significant other Charles E. Smith of Merrillan, two children Lisa (Eddie) Porter of Marianna, FL, Gregory Carlisle of Granton, her mother Phyllis Melquist of Anoka, MN and her three grandchildren Justin, Cameron and Caden and one expected soon. She is further survived by her siblings, John (Dorothy) Melquist of Rockford, IL Julie (Doug) Groettum of Eagan, MN and Jean (Larry) Anderson of Ramsey, MN.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandson Cael Porter.

Memorial may be designated to the Clark County Humane Society.
