Elsewhere in this issue will be found a letter from Emery W. Crosby in reply to the petition published last week and also his formal announcement of his candidacy for the circuit judgeship of Clark, Jackson and Juneau Counties. Should the honor of the coming election fall to Mr. Crosby, he will prove well capable of filling the position. He has a varied experience in public life, has been district attorney of Clark County and is now a member of the judiciary committee of the present assembly. He is a young man with all the virile and energetic qualities of full manhood. His years of court practice and its attendant associations has broadened and strengthened his legal knowledge and he is at this time at the period of his life when he would make a capable and exceptionally conscientious judge. His broad acquaintance throughout the district and especially in Clark County should be an important factor at the judicial election in April.
