Zajac, Cherylynne (Marriage - 12 August 1967)

Yellow paper roses decorated the pews of the United Church of Christ and two bouquets of yellow gladioli and pompons decorated the front of the church for the 3:30 p.m. wedding Saturday of Miss Cherylynne Zajac of Black River Falls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Zajac of Neillsville, and David Boock of Black River Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Boock of Spencer.

“Song of Ruth” and “Walk Hand in Hand” were sung by Shirley Hagen, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

Mr. Zajac gave his daughter in marriage. For her wedding the bride chose a floor-length bridal gown of sheer organza, highlighted by appliqués of re-embroidered Alencon lace. Elbow- length sleeves and a demure scoop neckline complimented the a-line bodice. Her a-line skirt was fashioned with a simulated Watteau that swept into a chapel train. A garland of Venetian lace petals secured her floor-length veil of sheer illusion. She carried a lace fan decorated with a cascade of yellow roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Miss Brenda Freeman of Ladysmith was her maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Florne Thiel of Marshfield and Mrs. Charles McCormick of Griggsville, Ill. The attendants were attired in floor-length sheaths of karote in gold highlighted by a back panel. Crocheted lace in ecru accented the elbow-length sleeves, the empire waistline and the back panel. Flat bows of the ecru lace featured inserts of gold velvet ribbon, forming the headpieces that held gold blush veils. They carried Tuneful pompons, flowing from double wicher rings.

Miss Cheryl Ann Plath of Lac du Flambeau, as flowergirl, wore a dress styled identically to that of the bride. She carried a wicher basket of yellow roses. Frank Oelrich of Spencer was the ringbearer.

The groom was attended by Gerald Boock of Spencer as bestman. Groomsmen were Dennis Zajac of Neillsville and Duane Hanson of Spencer. Ushers were James Graupner, Ted Woodkey and Douglas Plath.

The bride was a 1966 graduate of the Wisconsin State University – Eau Claire and teaches in the Black River Falls School system. Mr. Boock, a 1965 graduate of the Eau Claire School, also teaches in Black River Falls. He is affiliated with Alph Phi Omega fraternity.

Mr. and Mrs. Boock left on a wedding trip to Expo ’67 in Montreal, Canada. On their return they will reside at 312 Chestnut St. Black River Falls.
