Joseph C. Hecker, 76, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died about 2:30 o'clock at St. Mary's Hospital in Wausau. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Norbert E. King officiating. The body is lying in state at the Myre Funeral Home.

Mr. Hecker was born may 23, 1886 in St. Nazianz and was married to the former Julia M. Ystad on June 11, 1912 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. Following their marriage they lived on a farm east of Greenwood and for the past fifteen years have lived on a farm south of Loyal. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mr. and Mrs. Hecker celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this past summer.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Florence Dolloff, Wausau; Mrs. Mildred Robinson, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. Lorene Devine, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Ann Studnicka, Milwaukee; four sons, Bob, Louisville, Kentucky; Harold, Downey, Calif.; Peter, New Berlin; Leonard, LaMirada, Calif.; thirty-two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons.
