HIRAM PALMER


Hiram Palmer died Monday morning, July 19th, 1897, at his home, southwest of this city, of heart disease, at the age of 74 years.


Deceased was born in New York May 23, 1823, and came to Clark County in 1856. He was married to Rosetta Tucker in 1860. He leaves a wife, one son, Mert Palmer of this city, and a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Scott of Detroit, Mich., to mourn his loss.


Owing to severe illness, Mrs. Scott was unable to be here in attendance at the funeral.


The funeral will be held today at the M.E. Church under the auspices of the A.O.U.W., Rev. Foster officiating.
