MRS. W. H. WHITE


Mrs. William D. White died at her home in Neillsville Dec. 10, 1922, following a stroke of apoplexy a short time previously. Mrs. White had arrived at the advanced age of 77 years. She was born in Syracuse, New York on Dec. 11, 1845--is parents being Mr. Mrs. Charles H. Pitcher, who in later years lived in this city. She married in 1876 to Isaac Jenkins and moved to Clark County the same year. The them one son was born in 1871, I. N. Jenkins. The father died July 12, 1872. On Dec. 11, 1878, Mrs. Jenkins was married to William D. White. The lived for many years on their farm in Pine Valley, where Mr. White died a number of years ago. There are 4 children from the second family: Minnie Mertil White, William H. White, Charles J. White, and Florence Viola Linkie who are all of the city of Neillsville. Mrs. White was a woman of great kindness of the heart. n the home and community she was always ready and willing to be of service to those about her and never spared her own strength and comfort to help others. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church at 2:00 p.m., Rev. W. T. Scott officiating.
