GREENWOOD YOUTH DIES FOLLOWING ILLNESS


Eugene P. Zawadzki, 14, R. 1, Owen, Clark County, died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1975 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Death was caused by cancer.


Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, with burial in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Robert Houston officiated.


Pallbearers were Duane Decker, Joe Skora, Jim Mayenschein, John Mayenschein, David Sepp, Pat Landini, Brian Jackson and David Vetterkind.


The Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.


Eugene Zawadzki was born March 22, 1961 at Marshfield. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Zawadzki of R. 1, Owen.


Eugene had finished the seventh grade at the Greenwood School. He was a member of the Loyal Circle Eight Square Dance Club.


He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Debbie and Regina, both at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pedersteun, Knapp, Wis.

Zawadski. Eugene P. (? 1961 - 5 November 1975)

Eugene P. Zawadski, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs, Eugene E. Zawadski, Rt. 1 Owen, died of cancer November 5, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since October 12.

Eugene was born in Marshfield in 1961 and had finished the seventh grade at the Greenwood Elementary School. He was a member of the Loyal Circle Square Dance Club.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Debbie and Regina, both at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pedersteun of Knapp.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Robert Houston, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
