Gustave Gustaveson died at his home near Black River bridge Saturday morning quite suddenly of consumption.

He was born in Sweden Dec. 21, 1853, his parents removing to Norway two years later and coming to Wisconsin when he was nine years of age where he lived most of his life.

He was married to Anna Svardal Feb. 3, 1890, six children being born to them, three of which have died. Three children, two boys and a girl, twelve years and under, survive their father.

The family have lived in Iowa for seven years, coming here nearly two years ago, buying the Lucas property at that time. Mr. Gustaveson has suffered from consumption for about six years, being confined to the bed at times. His last illness has kept him abed since last Thanksgiving.

The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at the house, Rev. W. T. Hendren conducting the services. The body was buried in the local cemetery. Levi Gustaveson, a brother of deceased, and his family of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Enoch Hendrickson, of Minneapolis, a friend of deceased, were present at the funeral.
