AREA RESIDENT DIES AT AGE 83


GREENWOOD Services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home here, for Charlie Tupper Hare, 83, of Greenwood, Clark County, who died of an apparent heart attack at 7 a.m. Monday at his home in the Black River Apartments.


The Rev. Eugen Antrim, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Visitations may be made at the Hill Funeral Home here, beginning today.


Mr. Hare was born July 18, 1888, in Toronto, Canada, and moved with his parents to Cooperstown, N.D., when he was 2 years of age. He was married there Nov. 6, 1912, to Olive Sischo, who survives. The couple resided there until 1915 when they came to Greenwood.


Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Merril and George Hare, both of Greenwood a daughter, Mrs. Arno (Alma) Elmhorst, Manteno, Ill. 12 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren and two brothers, George, Cooperstown, N.D. and Mamwood Hare in the state of Oregon.


A son, a daughter, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
