SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. JOHN D. WUETHRICH AT GREENWOOD


Funeral services for Mrs. John D. (Ragnhild) Wuethrich, 71, were held Wednesday, July 21, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood, with Rev. Ted Nelson, Ellsworth officiating. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, with the Rinka Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.


Mrs. Wuethrich died Sunday, July 18, 1976, at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital.


Ragnhild Emberson, the daughter of John and Dena Emberson was born Oct. 20, 1904, at Argyle, Wis. She received her education at the Rosholt, S.D. and Greenwood Schools. Following her graduation from Greenwood High School, she attended the Eau Claire State Teachers College, graduating in 1922. For nine years she taught school in rural Clark and Taylor Counties.


On Oct. 17, 1931, she was married to John D. Wuethrich. She was a member of our Savior's Lutheran Church and the ALCW, as well as being a 4-H leader.


Her parents, one brother and a grandson preceded her in death.


Surviving are her husband, John D., route 1, Greenwood two sons, Devere, Greenwood and Dallas, Greenwood two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Diane) Mattes, Thorp, and Mrs. Keith (Dawn) Stump, Greenwood two sisters, Mrs. David (Naomi) Danielson, Greenwood, and Mrs. Erling (Eulilla) Nelson, Spooner a brother, Vilas Emberson, Greenwood and seven grandchildren.

Wuethrich, Ragnhild (20 October 1904 – 18 July 1976)

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Our Savior’s Luther4an Church, Greenwood, for Mrs. John D. Wuethrich, 71, of Rt. 1 Greenwood, who died Sunday, July 18, at Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Theodore Nelson of Ellsworth was to officiate, and interment was to be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wuethrich, the former Ragnhild Emberson, was born October 20, 1904, Argyle and received her elementary education in Rosholt, S.D., schools. A Greenwood High School graduate, she also attended Eau Claire State Teachers Normal College, graduating in 1922. She taught in rural Clark and Taylor county schools for nine years. Her marriage to John D. Wuethrich took place October 17, 1931, in Greenwood. Mrs. Wuethrich was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and of its ALCW society.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Devere, at home, and Dallas, two daughters, Mrs. Philip (Diane Mattes, of Thorp, and Mrs. Keith (Dawn) Stump, of Greenwood, and seven grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Mrs. David (Naomi) Danielson, Greenwood, and Mrs. Erling (Eulilla) Nelson, Spooner; and a brother, Vilas Emberson, Greenwood.
