Rogalski, Evelyn (1902 - 1999)

 

Evelyn Rogalski, 97, Thorp, passed away Monday, September 27, 1999 at Oakbrook Healthy Rehab., Thorp, WI.


Evelyn was born April 15, 1902 at Thorp, WI to Vincent and Kathern (Lesniewski) Ignowski. She was united in marriage November 18, 1919 to John Rogalski at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp. She lived in the Thorp area most of her life. Evelyn was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, member of the Rosary Society. She worked at the Havenett Nursing Home in Owen for a number of years.


Surviving are her children: Chet (Regina) of Thorp, John (Josephine) of Crystall Falls, MN, Richard (Geri) of Tucson, AZ, Donald (Janet) of Thorp, Fred of Kenosha, Robert (Joyce) of Stevens Point, Alice Balicki of Cicero, IL, Elizabeth Ciokiewicz of Thorp 35 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and one brother Michael Ignowski of Dalles, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John December 10, 1959, 4 children: Stanley, Marcella, Eleanor, and Clarence and 2 brothers: Joe and John Ignowski and 2 sisters: Elizabeth and Josephine.


Funeral services will be a 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 1, 1999 at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church with Rev. John Puerner officiating. Burial will be in old St. Hedwig's Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Thorp Funeral Home with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary.
