OBITUARY FOR EWALD SCHWARZE  (b. 1/3/1906 d. 5/22/1979)

 

 

Ewald Schwarze, 73, East Schofield Court, Greenwood, was taken by ambulance to Neillsville Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at approximately 6:30 PM Tuesday. He died of an apparent heart attack.


Funeral Services are set for 1:30 PM Friday at Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. David S. Logue officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call after 2 PM Thursday at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, and after 10 AM Friday until time of services.


Mr. Schwarze was born Jan 3, 1906, in the town of Warner. He attended Benjamin School and married Sarah Olson Nov. 28, 1928 at the Westside parsonage. They observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary October 1978.


He farmed in the Greenwood area and worked for Stewart's Cheese Factory. He also was employed as a janitor for five years at Loyal High School, retiring in 1971.


Survivors include his wife two sons, Donald of Marhsall and Stanley of Rochester, Minn. a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Eileen) Krapf Jr., Greenwood two brothers, Orlin of Greenwood and Richard of Newcastle, Wyo. and four grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother and sister.


Pallbearers will be John Jakobi, Gene Carteron, Harlan Brux, Ray Barkes, Henry Neilsen and Bud Smith.

SARAH SCHWARZE


(7 Nov 1906 - 2 May 1991)


Sarah (Sally) Schwarze, 84, Neillsville Memorial Home, formerly of Greenwood, died at 12:35 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville.


The body will be cremated, and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion United Church of Christ, Greenwood, with the Rev. John Tschudy officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.


Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, is in charge of arrangements.


She was born Nov. 7, 1906, in Abbotsford, to the late Oluf and Myrtle (Tuttle) Olson. She attended Neillsville High School and Stevens Point Normal College.


She was married to Ewald Schwarze Nov. 28, 1928, in Greenwood. He died May 15, 1979.


She was a teacher in the Greenwood area in the special education field until retirement. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.


Survivors include two sons, Donald (Barbara Weber) of Madison and Stanley (Janet Fauser) of Rochester, Minn. one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Eileen) Krapf of Greenwood two sister, Mildred of Arizona and Barbara of Cambria two brothers, Kenneth of Neillsville and Oluf of Wisconsin Rapids four grandchildren and one great grandson.


She was also predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.
