OBITUARY FOR MRS. HENRY SILKEY


Mrs. Henry Silkey died at her home in Christie on Saturday, Sept. 15, 1923. Frances Charlotte Chase was born in Calumet Co., Wis. March 20, 1884. When three months old she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Chase to Clark Co., Wis., where she lived until the time of her death. On the third day of Nov., 1902, she was united in marriage to Henry Silkey of Clark Co. To this union two children were born, Alfred, who died in infancy and a daughter Mabel who survives. Deceased is survived by her husband, one daughter Mabel, two step-children, Edwin and George, both of Christie, also her mother who lives near Withee, three sisters, Mary of Ladysmith, Roxie of Detroit and Lillie of Withee and three brothers, Joseph of Plaza, N.D., Edmund Puyallup, Wash. And John of Owen, Wis. She was a true wife and a loving mother and her death is very deeply mourned by all those who survive her.


Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at on o'clock from the house and at two o'clock from the Christie M.E. Church, Rev. T. O. Thompson of Greenwood officiating.
