DEATH OF MRS. MARIA WHALEN

The town of York, Clark County, is grieving over the loss of one of its oldest and most highly respected residents, Mrs. Maria Whalen, who passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 20, 1910 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. L. Snyder, in that place, at the advanced age of 75 years.

Deceased was most dearly beloved by all who knew her and it is with deep regret that we are compelled to chronicle her death. Besides a large host of friends, she leaves to mourn her loss, two daughters, Mrs. L. M. Snyder of York, at whose home she passed away, and Mrs. John Dwyer of Neillsville and two sons, John L. Parrett and George A. Whalen, to mourn her loss.

The funeral services under the direction of Rev. W. P. Burrows of Neillsville, were held at the Snyder home on Sunday and the remains were taken to the Neillsville Cemetery for burial.
