OBITUARY OF MARY CHRISTENSEN


Mary Christensen
, age 87 years and 9 months, died Sunday morning, March 29, 1931 after a short illness, at her home in Marysville, where she had resided for 24 years.


Mary Knudeson was born in Kagero, Norway June 15, 1843 and was left an orphan at the age of 5 years. She came to Wisconsin at the age of 16 and was married there in 1863 to Ole Christensen, who preceded her in death in 1921, also at Marysville.


Mrs. Christensen was a member of the Lutheran Church since a child and was a true Christian during her entire life. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary D. Spikas of Los Angeles, Mrs. Emma Miller of Bererly Park, Mrs. Joesphine Limpright at the family home in Marysville and four sons, Charles and Oscar of Seward, Alaska Albert and Lewis of Montana four grandchildren, Clifford Limpright, Lilah Taubeneck and Clarence Christensen of Marysville and Malcolm Taylor of Beverly Park and two great-grandchildren, Lloyd and Shirley Jean Taubeneck, Marysville.


Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. A. K. Vinje of Everett, officiating, with interment at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Elmer Schaefer Funeral Parlors.


Mrs. Christensen at one time lived in Greenwood, Clark County and will be remembered by many of the older residents.
