MRS. JOHN DEMUTH DIES SUDDENLY


Mrs. John Demuth
passed away very suddenly at her home in the Town of Eaton, Clark County, 5 miles southeast of Greenwood, Thursday afternoon, Aug. 1, 1935, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 13 days. The cause of her death was a stroke.
Johanna Weier was born in Ridgeway Township, Iowa County, on May 18, 1870, and was united in marriage to John Demuth of Dodgeville in Nov. 1903.


During the first twelve years of their married life they resided on a farm near Junction City and for the past 20 years have lived on their present farm in the Town of Eaton.


Mrs. Demuth was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and an active member of St. Ann's Society.


Deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Theodore Peterson, Ladysmith Mrs. Clyde Forrest, Des Moines, Iowa Robert Demuth, Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Joseph Rondorf, Eaton Township and William Demuth at home. There are also seven grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers.


Funeral services were held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the home and 9:00 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rev. Phillip T. Weller officiating. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery.


A host of sorrowing relatives and friends who gather at the home and at the church, the beautiful offerings and memorial gifts bespeak the high regard in which she was held by all.
