OBITUARY OF CONRAD J. LOOS


Conrad J. Loos, 58, died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday, June 25, 1939 at 10:30 a.m. at his home near Loyal, Clark County. Mr. Loos apparently in good health, had attended church that morning.


He was born Nov. 25, 1880 in Kiel, Manitowoc County, Wis. On Sept. 13, 1904 he was married to Elizabeth Schnell at Kiel.


After his marriage he worked in a box factory for one year at Kiel, then moved to a farm northwest of Greenwood. 17 years ago he moved to a arm near Loyal, which was his home at the time of his death.


Mr. Loos was a member of the Catholic Family Protective Life Insurance Society and also a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal.


He is survived by his wife and 10 children, Alexander, Arthur, Mrs. Arthur (Viola) Becker, Reuben, Roy, John, Gilbert, Dorothy Ann, Jerome and Clemens. All of the children live at Loyal except Dorothy Ann, who lives at Evanston, Ill., and Jerome of Ft. Snelling, Minn. Arthur and Clemens are at home. Two children died in infancy.


He is also survived by the following brothers and sister: Math. Loos and Mrs. Josephine McCarthy of Sheboygan, Wis. Herman of Valdens, Wis Mrs. Dorothy Mertz of Chilton, Wis. Mrs. Ida Loesla and Mrs. Gregina Baumgartner of St. Nazian, Wis. Albert of Memme, Wis., and Frank of Aniw, Wis. Three grandchildren also survive.


The funeral was held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 1939 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal and the body was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, Rev. Father Aloys Zinthefer officiated.


Pallbearers were his six sons, Rueben, Roy, John, Gilbert, Jerome and Clemens. The Honorary pallbearers were Frank Schultz, Will Habhagger, Joe Becker, Frank Rueth, Fed Stutte and C. B. Esselman.


Those in charge of the flowers were Loretta Herr, Rosalind Miller, Celia Bertz, May Becker, Edith Verhalen and Florence Stutte.


Out of town people attend the funeral were Miss Dorothy Ann Loos, Evanston, Ill. Jerome Loos, Fort Snelling, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Math. Loesla, Miss Theresa Koenig, Mrs. Frank Heimul, St. Nazianz Mrs. Louis Wollersheim and son Leland, Manitowoc Mr. and Mrs. John Mertz, Mr. and Mrs. John Seipel, Mrs. Fred Woelfel, Mrs. Joe Leonard, Cholton Albert Loos, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Schneider, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Schneider, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schneider, Henry Schneider, Cleveland Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schnell and daughters, Mrs. Anna Schnell, Mrs. Rose Menne, Miss Grace Menne, Kiel Mr. and Mrs. Justin Harkins, Elkhart Lake Mrs. Biedenbinder, Brillion Rev.
