OBITUARY OF AUGUST MACKSAM


August Macksam was born June 16, 1873 at Theresa, Dodge County and moved to Loyal, Clark County in 1901, where he resided until March, 1941, when he came to Greenwood to the Enockson home. Due to a chronic illness he was unable to live alone and was transferred here. His health improved for a short time, but for the past five weeks has been acutely ill with a kidney abcess and other complications.


Mr. Macksam passed away at the Enockson Home Wednesday eve, Aug. 13, 1941 and the body was taken to the Ohlrogge Funeral Home at Loyal, where services were held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Rev. C. J. Langholz officiated. The body was laid to rest in the Dodgeville Cemetery, northeast of Loyal.


He is survived by two sons of Beaver Dam and a daughter at Plymouth.


Mr. Macksam was engaged in farming and was road patrolman for many years.
