OBITUARY OF MRS. MARGARET KORNTVED


Mrs. Margaret (Peterson) Korntved was born in Christianfelt, Denmark, on March 7, 1855 and came to the United States in 1874 and settled at Oxford, N.J., where on April 10, 1875 she was married to Andrew Korntved.


They moved to Romeo in 1877 and settle on a farm , where they lived until Mr. Korntved's death in 1905. She then moved to the village of Unity, Clark County two years later. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church there.


Mrs. Korntved passed away at the home of her son, Peter in Romeo, at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 1941, having reached the age of 86 years, 6 months and 13 days. She has been in poor health for the past several months and has been at the home of her son for the past two months.


She is survived by six sons, Peter of Romeo Soren of Greenwood Chris of Grand Marais, Minn. Anton and John in Unity, 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.


Funeral services were conducted at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity on Wednesday, Sept 24 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. J. A. Olson officiated. She was laid to rest in the Brighton Cemetery. Her six sons acted as pallbearers.
