SHANKS FUNERAL


Greenwood--The Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiated at funeral rites Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Methodist Church for Albert Shanks, 81, who died July 3, 1949. Interment took place in the Greenwood Cemetery. (He was born April 2, 1868).


Pallbearers were E.L. Mlada, Ed Buker, Ed Hillert, Robert McConnell, William Hubert, and Jake Speich. Mrs. Chal Perkins and Miss Evangeline Sheets sang Ivory Palaces and Sweet Bye and Bye , Miss Donna Mae Gotter, Loyal, was the piano accompanist.


People who came for the funeral include Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Schneider, Meno, Okla. Mr. and Mrs. John Meek and family and Mrs. Wagner, Brodhead Mrs. William Bold, Sidney, Mont. Mrs. Kenneth Jones, Glendive, Mont. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gauger, Arcadia Mrs. William Andrews, Owen Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dunn, Neillsville Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boe and Mrs. Lela Mack, Loyal Mrs. George Alton, Milwaukee Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pelicity, Stanley and Miss Mabel Bishop, Wausau.
