VOIGTLANDER RITES SET FOR THURSDAY
73-YEAR-OLD TOWN OF HOARD WOMAN DIES MONDAY AFTER ILLNESS


Greenwood--Funeral rites will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bethany Reformed Church in the Town of Hoard for Mrs. Paul Voigtlander, 73, who died Monday afternoon, Nov. 4, 1946, following a long illness at her home in the Town of Hoard, Clark County. The Voigtlander home is located on Route 1, Curtiss, 7 miles west of Dorchester.


The Rev. B. M. Fresenborg, pastor of the local Zion Reformed Church, will officiate at the funeral rites and interment will take place in the Dorchester Cemetery.


Mrs. Laura Annie Voigtlander was born March 23, 1873, at Bergesshuebel, Saxony, Germany, and came to the United States with her parents when she was 11 years old.


After two years in Milwaukee, the family moved to the present Voigtlander farm near Dorchester. Her marriage took place March 31, 1891.


Surviving are her husband and five children, Henry and Elmer of Curtiss Mrs. William (Louise) Awe, Owen and Alma and Lillian, both at home. The four grandchildren are Henry Voigtlander Jr., Mrs. Clarence Syring, and Calvin and Arnold Awe.
