MATTAUSCH RITES TO BE TUESDAY


Greenwood--Funeral services have been scheduled here for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the West Side Evangelical and Reformed Church for Henry William Mattausch, 77, Alma, who made his home in this area for the past five years. (He died Apr. 27, 1957)
The body, which is now at the Stabnow Funeral Home here, will be taken to the church at noon Tuesday. Burial will be made in the Church cemetery.. The Rev. Charles Koch will officiate.


Mr. Mattausch was born in Pray Sept. 6, 1879. He married Emelia Miller Nov. 27, 1909 at Alma and they farmed and operated a general store at Pray form more than 22 years. After retiring 15 years ago they continued to reside at Pray until 1952, when they came to this area to make their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar (Delores) Wendt, Owen, Clark County.


Mr. Mattausch headed a dance band for many years. He was a member of the Lincoln Town Board for 15 years, serving in the capacity of assessor and treasurer. He also served on that township's school board for eight years.


Besides the widow and daughter, he leaves one son Lester, (the rest of my copy was cut off)
