AREA RESIDENT DIES AT AGE 75


Greenwood--Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church for a former Greenwood, Clark County resident, Roger A. Dillenbeck, 75, of 308 S. Palmetto Ave., Marshfield, who died early Sunday morning, May 31, 1970 at the Marshfield Convalescent Center, where he had been a patient of two weeks.


The Rev. Lee Holmes, Marshfield, will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home beginning this afternoon.


Roger A. Dillenbeck was born Sept. 11, 1894 in Janesville and came to the Greenwood area at the age of seven with his parents. He was married at Globe, Wis., April 20, 1921, to Dorothea Spranger, who preceded him in death July 15, 1961.


After their marriage the couple farmed near Greenwood until 1944, when they moved to Marshfield, where Mr. Dillenbeck worked for 20 years at the Weyerhaeuser plant.


He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Modern Woodmen of America.


Survivors include a son, Harold Dillenbeck, Greenwood nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


He also was preceded in death by a brother.
