MRS. H. KRAUSE


Greenwood--Mrs. Herman (Irene) Krause, route 3, was dead of an apparent heart attack upon arrival at the Colby Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 1, 1975. She was 56 years of age.


Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion United Church of Christ in Greenwood, with the Rev. David Logue, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in Pine Hill Cemetery at Curtiss.


Visitations may be made at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen after 3 p.m. Tuesday.


The former Irene Papenfuss was born Dec. 28, 1918, at Abbotsford, Clark County, where she received her education. After her marriage to Herman Krause on March 31, 1939, at Waukon, Iowa, the couple lived at Curtiss and also for a short time at Stanley and Chippewa Falls. Since 1954 they had made their home at rural Greenwood.


She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.


Survivors include here husband a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Strebig, Chippewa Falls a sister, Mrs. Leona Syoblum, Minneapolis two brothers, Harold Paperfuss, Abbotsford, and Henry, Papenfuss, Chicago her mother, Mrs. George (Lena) Papenfuss, Abbotsford and a granddaughter.


She was preceded in death by her father.
