Christie, Loteen L. (1897 - 1964)


GREENWOOD--Mrs. Hugh Christie, 66, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 1964 in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, where she had been a patient since Nov. 10.


Funeral services will be held in Grace Methodist Church here at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. David Kellin, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home from Tuesday noon until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church.


The former Loteen L. Atkins was born Dec. 3, 1897 in Weston Township near Christie, and received her education in Weston township schools. After her marriage in Eau Claire in Sept 1917 to Hugh Christie, the couple resided on a farm 6 miles south of here until 1961, when the moved to the city.


Mrs. Christie was a member of Grace Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service Forest Queen Camp, Royal Neighbors of America, and the Neighborhood Club.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Vernard, Fairbanks, Alaska a daughter Mrs. Arnold (Bethel) Fikke, Minneapolis six grandchildren and two brothers, Leon Atkins, Durand, and George Atkins, Aberdeen, Wash.


One brother, Clifford, and one sister, Mrs. Phillip (Edith) Christie, preceded her in death.
