Andrews, William C. (1869 - 1959)


GREENWOOD--William C. Andrews, 90, Owen, Clark County, died of complications Monday morning, Oct. 19, 1959, at the Clark County Home.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hill Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Ethel Nulton, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home until time of services.


Mr. Andrews was born in Tunnel City July 14, 1869. Shortly afterwards his parents came to Clark County. He was educated in the Greenwood School. He worked in lumber camps, farmed, but had been at the County Hospital for a number of years. He was never married.


He was the last living member of a family of nine. Preceded him in death were four brothers, George, Frank, McKinsie and Dudley, and four sister, Mrs. Mamie Robertson, Mrs. Anna Johnson, Mrs. Belle Burch and Mrs. Harriet Shanks, all of the Greenwood area.
