Olson, Ellenora Sophia Nora (1874 - 1958)


GREENWOOD--Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Ira Tanner in Our Savior's Lutheran Church here at 3 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. Henry Olson, 83, Greenwood, Clark County, who died at her home Wednesday evening, June 11, 1958, after being in poor health for three years. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body is reposing at the Hill Funeral Home and will be removed to the church Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock.


The former Ellenora Sophia Soefker was born Sept. 24, 1874, in Sheboygan County's Town of Herman and was married on June 27, 1906, to Henry Olson in Greenwood. The couple celebrated their golden wedding in June 1956.


They lived on a farm 5 miles north of Greenwood until nine years ago, when they retired and moved to Greenwood. The farm is now operated by their son, Leo.
Mrs. Olson was a member of Our Savior's Church and the Women's Guild.


She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Sophie Crowley, Chippewa Falls Mrs. Arthur (Leona) Turnquist, Mrs. Carl (Evelyn) Turnquist, Mrs. Orville (Lucille) Oswald, all of Greenwood and two sons, Leo and Daniel, also of Greenwood. Other survivors are 34 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Herzog, Plymouth.


Two sisters and six brothers preceded her in death.
