Perkins, Chalmer (1884 - 1952)
 

GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY Chalmer Perkins, 68, Greenwood, died at his home at about 12:20 o'clock this morning, April 1, 1952. He had been in ill health for the past year.


Funeral services ware tentatively set for Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the grace Methodist Church at Greenwood, with the Rev. Lee Holmes officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. Until the time of services the body will repose at the Stabnow Funeral Home.
Chalmer Perkins was born Dec. 3, 1884, at Jefferson, Iowa, where he received his education. He married the former Alice Corey, who survives, at Omaha, Neb., in 1912.


Mr. Perkins was a barber for 47 years, most of the time in Clark County. He worked and resided in Greenwood for 22 years. In April 1951 he sold his barber shop to Carl Friedl. He was a member of the Grace Methodist Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Chauncey, Calif., and William, Minneapolis, Minn. Nine brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
