Berrett, Myrtia (1875 - 1969)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Mrs.. Myrtia Berrett, 94, formerly of Greenwood, died at 6 p.m. Monday, Mar. 31, 1969, at the Neillsville Memorial Home, where she had resided for the past five years.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Le Roy Grosse, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Loyal Cemetery.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home beginning Thursday afternoon until 11 a.m. Friday, and then at the church.


The former Myrtia Cook was born Jan. 1, 1875, in Missouri, and was married Sept. 17, 1902, at Loyal to William J. Berrett, who preceded her in death March 17, 1921. After their marriage the couple lived at Loyal, where they operated a farm. Since the death of her husband, she had made her home with her children until 1963, when she went to the Memorial Home.


Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Brandt, Greenwood Mrs. Alvin Wendt, Neillsville Mrs. Emory Voie, Fond du Lac two sons, Verland, Greenwood Roland, Rhinelander 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
