Kowatz, Ada (1912 - 1990)
 

Ada, Kowatz, 78, formerly of Loyal, who had been residing at Colonial House Living Center, Colby, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 1990 at the center.


A Memorial service was conducted by the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary Post 175, Friday evening, April 13, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Graveside services were at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Ill., on Tuesday, April 17, 1990.


Ada Peterson was born on April 5, 1912, at Mundelein, Ill. She received her education at St. Francis School of Nursing, Evanston, Ill.
On March 10, 1935, she married Harry Kowatz at Chicago, Ill. She worked as a registered nurse in Evanston, Ill. and later she worked for Washington National Insurance Co. in Evanston. In 1978 she moved to Loyal and for the past four years has been a resident of Colonial House Living Center, Colby.


She was a member of the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary Post 175.


Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. Daryl (Delores) Rowley of Loyal, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) O Laughlin of Glenview, Ill., Karalee Steffen of Carolstream, Ill., and Barbara Kowatz of Phoenix, Ariz. one son, Harry Kowatz of Pineville, La. 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.


Preceding her in death were her husband on Nov. 4, 1975, and one brothers.
