Shafer, Herbert B. (1903 - 1990)
Herbert B. Bert Shafer, 87, of Neillsville
Memorial Home, Neillsville, formerly of Loyal, died at 7:05 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 25, 1990, at the home.
Mr. Shafer was born on April 16, 1903, at Missouri.
He moved to Loyal after his marriage to the former Elizabeth King
in 1967 at Portland, Oregon, where he lived until he entered
Neillsville Memorial Home two months ago due to failing health.
Survivors include his wife two sons, Robert Shafer of Salem, Oregon
and Lloyd Shafer of Boise, Idaho one step-son, Harold Francis of
Loyal and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There were no funeral services. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery,
Lebanon, Ore. Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville, handled local
arrangements.
