Adler, Elizabeth (1901 - 1991)


Elizabeth Adler, 89, formerly of Loyal, died Friday, Feb. 8, 1991, at Divine Providence Nursing Home, Sleepy Eye, Minn.. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 1991, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Loyal. Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate and burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visitations will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, 1991, from 6 9 p.m. at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. A prayer service will be held at 7:15 p.m.


Elizabeth Schmidt was born May 4, 1901, in the town of York, Clark County, to Joseph and Mary (nee Pumphle) Schmidt. She received her education at St. Anthony's Parochial School and Pleasant View School. She married Fred Adler Oct. 16, 1923, in Loyal. They owned and operated Adler Barber Shop for 47 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Oct. 1, 1971. For 18 years she had been residing with her son in Minneapolis. For the past two years she was residing at the nursing home in Sleepy Eye.


Survivors include one son, Fred, New Ulm, Minn. one sister, Mrs. Margaret Horn, Loyal one brother, George Schmidt, Marshfield four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and one sister.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
