Lautenbach, Evelyn M. (1913 - 1991)


Evelyn M. Lautenbach, 78, Neillsville, died Friday, April 12, 1991, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital, Neillsville. Funeral services were held Monday, April 15, 1991, at 1 p.m. at Zion American Lutheran Church, Granton. Rev. Allan Saugstad officiated and burial was in Zion American Lutheran Church Cemetery, Granton. Pallbearers were Grant Hansen, Richard Catlin, Donald Lautenbach, Ed Kramer, Norman Lautenbach and Dale Lautenbach.


Evelyn Kramer was born April 1, 1913, in Maplewood, to John and Lilly (nee Bushman) Kramer. She received her education in Maplewood. She married Reinhart Lautenbach, Aug. 24, 1935, in Sturgeon Bay. He survives. They moved to Milwaukee after their marriage. She worked in the Continental Can Co. for many years, retiring in 1959. They lived in Milwaukee while spending the winters in Apache Junction, Ariz., until moving to Neillsville in 1977, where they have resided since. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Aug. 24, 1990. She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church.


Survivors include her husband two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Schroeder, Sturgeon Bay, and Mrs. Alfred (Dorothy) Anschutz, Sturgeon Bay one brother, Lloyd Kramer, Sturgeon Bay one sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene Kramer, Sturgeon Bay one brother-in-law, Ewald Lautenbach, Milwaukee and many nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.


Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
