Wachholz, Evelyn Mae (1923 - 2001)

Evelyn Mae Wachholz, 77, Neillsville, died on Monday, March 19, 2001, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, March 22, at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, and from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m., on Friday, March 23, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville. The Rev. Timothy Biebert will officiate. Burial will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David, Larry, and Michael Wilsmann, and Robert Wilsmann Jr.

Evelyn Mae Wilsmann was born on July 24, 1923, in Neillsville, to William H. and Minnie (nee Heibel) Wilsmann. She attended and graduated from Neillsville High school. She married Armond Wachholz on Nov. 16, 1946. She worked for Neillsville dairy Product, Alma Center Schools, Treat Tube in East Troy, and the PCA in Neillsville, where she retied in 1985. After her retirement, they moved to Casa Grande, Ariz. Her husband died in Aug. 1998, and she moved back to Neillsville in Aug. 2000. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, and its ladies aid. In her spare time, she was an avid bowler.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (John) Schwan, Nauvoo, Ill., and Sharon (Jim) Marescalco, Keshena three grandchildren, Lisa Ovsak, Todd Marescalco, and Luke Schwan one great-grandchild, Sydney Ovsak and two brothers, Robert (Elizabeth) Wilsmann, Neillsville and William (Lucille) Wilsmann, Hewitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Armond.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
