DAVID ANDERSON
 

David Anderson, 60, Route 1, Granton, Clark County, died Monday evening, Oct. 23, 1978 in a farm accident.
Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26 at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton.


Rev. Horst W. Augustin, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, officiated. Interment was in the Windfall Cemetery, Granton.
Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 6, 1917 in Fond du Lac, later moving with his parents to the Town of York to farm. He continued to operate the family farm.


He attended Romadka School in the Town of York, graduating from Granton High School. He was on the school board of Granton Public Schools for 20 years, serving as president for several years. He was a 4-H club leader and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 163 in Neillsville.


He was married to Leona Lange in Auburndale on Sept. 20, 1945.


Survivors include his wife four daughters, Mrs. Victor (Sarah) Elmhorst of Granton, Mrs. Garry (Adel) Thiede of Appleton, Mrs. Dale (Elaine) Emberson and Miss Donna Anderson, both of Eau Claire his mother, Mrs. Katherine Anderson of Neillsville two brothers, George of Eau Claire and Charles of Onalaska and three grandchildren.


Serving as soloist at the services was Mrs. Roger Helm, accompanied by Mrs. Walter Helm on the organ. Pallbearers were Donald Erpenbach, Donald and Merle Bartsch, Leland Reich, Norbert Barten and Lawrence Bartz.


He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.


Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, was in charge of arrangements.
