Mildred (Olson - Dorn) Stausborger

Mildred Dorn Strausborger, 87, Abbotsford, died on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, with visitation to be held at the church two hour prior to the service.

Mildred Olson was born on Jan. 15, 1914, in Abbotsford, to Oluf and Myrtle (nee Tuttle) Olson. She graduated from Neillsville High School and Whitewater State College. She was a commercial teacher at Fairchild High School. She married Lowell Dorn on Sept. 24, 1938. They operated Dorn Furniture and the Abbotsford Coast to Coast Store. In 1973, they moved to Arizona. Her husband died in 1974. She returned to Wisconsin each summer. She married William Strausborger of Wyoming on Aug. 11, 1984. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Her interests included birds, flowers, reading, playing cards, and golf.

Survivors include her husband, William two sons, Terry (Mary) Dorn, Colby, and Bob Dorn one daughter, Lynda, Minneapolis her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one brother, Oluf Olson, Wisconsin Rapids.
Preceding her in death were her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
