Johnson, Russell (10 April 1905)

 

Russell Johnson, 80, Route 1, Loyal, died Friday morning at Neillsville Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with the Rev. Joseph R. Kraly officiating. Burial will be in the Loyal Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday until service time at the church.

 

He was born April 10, 1905, in Kenosha, a son of Carl and Ella (Anderson) Johnson. He attended Kenosha schools. He married the former Elsie Asp Sept. 23, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minn. After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1957. He then worked for Rllohome Corp. in Marshfield for 11 years before retiring. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. He and his wife had celebrated their golden anniversary in 1977.

 

Surviving are his wife one son, Russell Jr. of Marshfield three daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Beatrice) Euler of Rice Lake, Mrs. Bernard (Janet) Langreck of 10277 County Trunk A and Mrs. Elmer (Geraldine) Nebola of Bruno, Minn. 19 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
