Odelia "Algra" Rondorf (1861-1913)

The angel of death visited our community last week Tuesday noon and removed from our midst, Odelia, beloved wife of Joseph Rondorf after intense suffering from several months from cancerous tumors.

Odelia Algra was born in La Crosse County, Wisconsin on January 27, 1861 and died January 21, 1913, being 5 - 1years, 11 months and 21 days old. She was married to Joseph Rondorf May 18, 1880 in Monroe County, Wisconsin.

In 1882 they moved to their farm in the Town of York where they have since resided. Their union was blessed with four children, two whom died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, one son, Rella Rondorf, and one daughter, Mamie Mrs. Archie Dorn, one grandson, also one sister and two brothers of Sparta.

The funeral took place on Friday from the MK Church, Rev. NJ Alderson officiating. A large concourse of friends and neighbors attended to pay a last tribute of respect to a worthy friend. Mrs. Rondorf was a faithful wife and a fond mother and her kindly deeds and thoughts for others will not be forgotten. The loved ones have the profound sympathy of all.
