Poznanski, Ruth (1915 - 1981)


Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood, for Mrs. Ruth Poznanski, 66, of 301 W. Miller, Greenwood, Clark County.


Mrs. Poznanski died at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21, 1981, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Officiating at the service will be Rev. Daniel Ahrens. Pallbearers will be Ken Speich, Jake Barr, Dick Syth, Dick Ashbeck, Donald Mattes of Thorp and Francis Kohlnhofer. Rinka Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Visitations will be at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, after 3 p.m., Wednesday and after 10:30 on Thursday at the church.


Ruth Kibbel was born to Christ and Anne (nee Gauger) Kibbel on July 24, 1915, in Wood County. She received her education at Colby and Abbotsford Schools.


She was married to Alex Poznanski on Oct. 18, 1933. Since 1941, they lived in the City of Greenwood, before that time living in Taylor County and Abbotsford.


She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.


Survivors include her husband, Alex (Ted) one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Delores) Brey of Greenwood; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Leona) Schneider of Sioux City; and Mrs. Dorothy Glenzer of Stanley; and four grandchildren.


Preceding her in death were one sister and her parents.
