JAMES L. O'BRIEN BURIED AT SPENCER


James L. O'Brien, 65, of Route 1, Loyal, Clark County, died July 6, 1975 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield at 6:00 a.m.
The funeral was held Wednesday, July 9, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer at 10:00 a.m. Burial was made in West Spencer Cemetery. Father Andrew H. Bofenkamp officiated at the burial. Rux Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.


Mr. O'Brien was born Aug. 28, 1909 at Tolley, N.D. He was married to the former Lila Boyer Jan. 10, 1934 at Abbotsford, Wis. They farmed in the Unity and Loyal area most of his life, then worked at Wick Building Systems until retiring in 1974.


He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer.


Surviving besides his wife are three daughters and four sons, namely: Mrs. Herbert (Kathleen) Rueth, Prona, Idaho; Mrs. William (Pat) Lindner, Greenwood; Miss Rebecca O'Brien, Marshfield; James O'Brien, Marshfield; Richard O'Brien, Spencer Wayne O'Brien, Marshfield; and Ronald O'Brien, Marshfield. He has 24 grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Joseph O'Brien and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Ruden, Abbotsford.
