Green, Martha (1892 - 1982)

Martha Green, 89, of Spencer, died at Victory Memorial Nursing Home, Stanley, on Sunday, Feb. 7, 1982.

Rev. Charles Strong officiated at the 1 p.m. service on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Interment was in West Spencer Cemetery. Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, handled arrangements.

Martha Davis was born at Hancock to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Davis on June 3, 1892. She married Emrol Green on July 22, 1914, at Stanley.

They farmed in the Stanley, Thorp and Loyal, Clark County areas before retiring in Spencer.

She is survived by one son, Dever of route 3, Stratford two daughters Mrs. Iola Ingels of route 1, Holcombe and Mrs. Mary Ellen Prokopinski of Route 1, Spencer 19 grandchildren 27 great-grandchildren one brother, Norman Davis of San Francisco, Cal and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Erma) Berseth of Stanley.

She was predeceased by her husband one son two grandchildren one great-grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.
